Misión Milby

The Misión Milby campus serves many needs of the community through our covenant community partners. Over 1200 persons a week are served by the various programs and ministries on campus.

Our Covenant Partner, the Misión Milby Community Development Corporation manages the campus as a separate nonprofit. Other covanant partners at Misión Milby include Youth Advocates, Technology For All (TFA) and other community organizations. TFA provides a free wireless network for the community in collaboration with Rice University. In addtion TFA's Texas Connects Coalition project (www.txc2.org ) TFA has upgraded the computer labs and provides training for persons seeking to improve their computer skills. ESL and GED classes are provided during the day and on week nights through a partnership with Houston Community College.

The campus is located between Milby High School & Deady Middle School. Because of that, Misión Milby serves a large youth population that is provided a safe and secure place to go after school. Several hundred youth use the computers in the building after school each day and a large group of youth gather together for fellowship, study, prayer, and support.

Also, Servants of Christ sponsors a youth worship experience on Wednesdays. It is coodinated by the Reverend Sherrill Corson in collaboration with a Youth Advisory Council and other clergy and laity from Servants of Christ and other churches and organizations including our partner Clear Lake United Methodist Church and the Center for Student Mission.

A Community Advisory Council helps coordinate programs and activities for adults.
